As it turned out, the discussion before The Nightmare Before Christmas in Disney Digital 3-D was composer Danny Elfman being interviewed, followed by a surprise live performance of “Sally’s Song” by Amy Lee (best known as the singer and sole permanent member of Evanescence).

A highlight of the amiable chat was Elfman confirming that he has been brought on to score Tim Burton’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland He also commented on “Nightmare Revisted,” the latest album of songs from the soundtrack reinterpreted by other artists, saying he liked the collection but making it evident that he had little to do with it. In addition to the aforementioned Amy Lee, the album includes Marilyn Manson, Rise Against, Flyleaf, Korn, Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse, Plain White T’s, All-American Rejects and others.
