Spending money while earning it
The Consumer Electronics Association and the Wall Street Journal Office Network are putting together what they’re calling “a one-of-a-kind integrated experiential marketing platform.” What that means in English is that they will bring the gadgets and goodies to your office for convenient shopping, assuming your office is in one of the top ten US DMAs. What’s actually quite interesting about this press release is the assertion that 45% of all holiday online spending occurs from the office. I wonder how they obtained that data? Transaction time of day and IP addresses, maybe? I suspect the percentage actually is higher than that, so perhaps it’s self-reported?
